I could sit and read all day

I got this blog award from Gianna at He Designs My Life.

What is your favorite book?
I never know how to answer this question. I have so many favorite books that I really can't choose just one. I can try to narrow it down to a few for you...

Emma by Jane Austen
Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen
Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine
Princess Academy by Shannon Hale
Freckles by Gene Stratton Porter.

When was the last time you read a book?

I think it's been a few days. I'm in the middle of a book right now, but I've been so busy I haven't been reading it.

Have you read any of Jane Austen's novels?

Yes, only every single one! In fact, I've read all of them at least twice. Lady Susan I've only read once, but that's more of a novella anyway.

What was the last book you read?

The last book I finished was Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. It was pretty good, though not as good as I expected. I liked the movie a lot too, and now that I've read the book I can see that the movie was pretty accurate.

If you were to write a book, what would the plot be?

I was thinking just today about a new idea for a character! My brother and I were talking about all the things that happen on movies and how we feel like we should be prepared for them to happen even though it is unlikely. For instance, having a plan on how to get away if you ever get in a car chase. It is not likely that you will ever get into a car chase, but it happens in every other movie so it can't hurt to be ready just in case. So I was thinking I should write a story where the main characters figure out which are the most common things that happen on movies and trying to come up with plans to get out of that type of situation, just in case.

How many times have you read your favorite book?

Once again, I really don't have a single favorite book, I have a lengthy list of them. I have read all of the books on my list multiple times. My top favorites I may have read five or six times.

Which do you prefer: reading a book, or watching TV?

Generally I prefer reading a book. If I had to choose one or the other to have on a desert island I would choose books. Lately though I have been watching more TV than reading. Mainly because it's summertime and I feel lazy. I found a few new shows I really like so I've been wanting to watch them instead of reading.

What book are you currently reading?

Currently I am reading Larklight by Phillip Reeve. It is interesting. I don't like it quite as much as I thought I would by the description.

What was the first book you ever read? (besides little learning-to-read books.)

I don't remember! The earliest reading memory I have is of Mom reading me the Laura Ingalls Wilder books when I was really little.

I award this to anyone who loves books.

~Jane~
